What Is the Session Workspace?

The Session Workspace is one of Nebula's most powerful features. It combines all the tools you need during or after a consultation in a single screen.

In traditional dietitian software, you need to navigate between different screens to take notes, create meal plans, and generate reports. Nebula's Session Workspace unifies these processes and speeds up your workflow.

Workspace Features

The Session Workspace consists of these sections:

  • Overview: Appointment details, client information, summary of past sessions, and a "Join Meeting" button for online appointments
  • Note Taking: Write session-specific notes — automatically linked to the appointment and saved when you switch tabs
  • Form Results: View intake form, MEDAS, or readiness-to-change responses the client filled in before the session, along with the auto-scored risk badge
  • Meal Plan: Build multi-day meal plans (add, duplicate, load from template, drag-and-drop reordering)
  • Recipe Integration: Drop in any of the 89 system recipes or your own recipes with serving scaling
  • Supplement Recommendation: Recommend products from your supplement catalog directly to the client (affiliate links included)
  • Progress Chart: Visualize the client's weight, BMI, and other metrics
  • Session Report: Generate a professional PDF report with one click and share by email
  • Session Review: Summary of actions taken

Online Sessions

For online appointments the Session Workspace works alongside the meeting itself. The "Join Meeting" button sits in the Overview tab and opens the standing meeting link from your profile (Google Meet, Zoom, etc.) in a new tab.

You can keep Nebula open during the call, take notes, build a meal plan, or recommend supplements as you go. At the end, "Create Session Report" produces a professional PDF.

Typical Session Workflow

A dietitian consultation typically follows these steps:

  1. Open the Session Workspace by clicking on the relevant appointment from the appointments list
  2. Review the client's past sessions and current status from the Overview section
  3. Record your notes during the consultation
  4. Update the progress chart by entering measurement data
  5. Create a new meal plan if needed
  6. Generate a professional PDF report with "Create Session Report"
  7. Share the report with the client via email with one click
